If you want a car that rides like a Toyota Camry and will correct your mistakes, this is not the car for you. -All maintenance conducted proactively. The following has all been replaced/serviced in the last two years: New Battery, New water pump and thermostat, fan ballasts, headlight switch, valve covers resealed, new brake rotors and pads, fresh window tint, transmission fluid change, brake fluid change. New Michelin Pilot Super Sports with less than 1000 miles on the rears. -IMS Bearing has not been replaced. The 1999 model year was not part of the class-action lawsuit because it has a dual row bearing that has nowhere near the failure rate of the 01-04 cars. It could be argued that a 1999 996 model is more reliable than the 997, which also has the single row IMS bearing. The oil filter has also been dissected during every oil change while I have owned the car, never a single metal shaving. This car has not been abused and still has the original clutch, no signs of slippage or chatter. This car is all original, well maintained and ready to go. Needs nothing.
